Mother's Day Weekend

Happy Mother's Day to all the lovely Mamas in the UK & Ireland! I hope you've all spoilt your Mum's today and had a lovely sunny weekend like we've had here down on the South Coast!

Our family started off the Mother's Day Weekend on Saturday at a local Country Club. It was a fabulous day and we enjoyed a spot of lunch at the fancy bar-restaurant.

On Mothering Sunday I turned up at my Mum's house bearing gifts. I helped to prepare a yummy Sunday Roast Dinner which we enjoyed with Champagne, followed by Apple Pie and Custard. So Yummy!

My Flowers and Card to my Mum.
My Sister gave my Mum little pots of Daffodils, Lindt Chocolates and a cute Card.

The dogs have been enjoying sunbathing in the sunshine and nice walks outside. It's fair to say they've had a lovely weekend too - they even got their own mini Sunday Roast!

Wishing you all a beautiful week ahead,

Love & Kisses,

Vicki xoxo

100 Happy Days Challenge

So I've seen several of my Facebook and Instagram friends start to take part in the #100happydays challenge. The idea is to focus on what makes you happy every single day for 100 days. Even on your worst day, you should be able to find even a small source of happiness. Take a quick piccie and upload it to whichever Social Media Forum you prefer with the hashtag #100happydays and the day number. The challenge is supposed to leave you feeling more happy, positive and reflective about your own life and your blessings.

I think that there is always more room for happiness in all our lives, so I've decided to start the photo challenge tomorrow. It might be hard for me to remember to take a photo every single day, but I will try my best!!!

Spring Weekend

It's been such a lovely spring weekend here - so sunny and warm, with lots of flowers blooming and baby animals! I love it!

On Saturday we went for Afternoon Tea at a Tea Room on a Farm. Everything we ate was organic and freshly made from ingredients grow on the farm itself. The baby calves and cows were bounding and jumping in the fields having a wonderful time. Chickens and Geese were roaming free. It was just such a beautiful sight! I love being in the countryside with all the nature and wildlife.

Saturday afternoon the dogs enjoyed a nice long playtime in the garden. It's one of the first times this year that they've been able to stay outside for longer than 5 minutes. Chihuahuas LOVE sunshine and warm weather.

On Sunday (today) we went for Sunday Lunch at a local Pub and then went to John Lewis to check out the cute Easter displays.

We also went to Lidl to see what German Easter goodies they had. My Sister and I love going to Lidl and reminiscing about our childhood. Our Oma (German Grandma) used to send us BIIIIIG Easter Parcels full of yummy German Easter treats. It was always such an exciting and happy time for us.

I wish you all a lovely sunday evening and hope you've had lovely spring weekends too! :)

Love & Kisses,

Vicki xoxo

Product Review - L'Oreal Studio Line 'Hot & Smooth'

I'm always trying out new hair and beauty products. Whenever I spot a new 'Heat Protector Spray' for hair, I usually find myself with an overwhelming urge to try it out. I'm forever searching for the best products around. So when I spotted this new L'Oreal Paris Studio Line 'Hot & Smooth' Spray, I just had to have it. Here are my thoughts on the product after using it for just over a week.

Product:  The spray comes out in a even and fine mist - I like this as some heat-sprays I have used in the past come out erratically and far too much at one time. The smell is what you would expect - nothing special, just average. It's not amazing smelling, but not horrible either. It smells a little fruity, with a hint of chemical smell. On the bottle it states that it leaves your hair '3-days straight' - which it does! I attempted this during my testing, and whilst I needed to use dry shampoo on my roots on the third day, my hair was lovely and straight with no kinks. The spray also protects your hair against styling products to the maximum heat of 230 degrees (but this can be expected from most heat-protecting sprays).

Value for Money:
I spotted this product on offer at Tesco's with an introductory offer of 2 for £4. I thought this was good value for money and I bought two. I'm not sure how much this product will cost after the introductory offers end.

Packaging:  I like the pink bottle, but there is nothing particularly special about the packaging of this product. The bottle is filled to the top with the spray which I also like - you're not paying for a half-empty bottle.

Would I Recommend it to a Friend:  Yes. Especially with the good introductory offers and the fact that the spray not only protects your hair, but also keeps it styled for a good length of time.

I hope this review has helped some of you! If you know of any great heat protecting styling products - let me know in the comment section!

Love & Kisses,

Vicki xoxo
